Living proof of the reality
of the working snowboarder

YOSSY / BRAND MARKETING

Yossy

As a civil servant — about as classic an office job as it gets — Yossy keeps sharing the reality of balancing snowboarding and work.

```
He's one of the people who best embodies Lehman Stick's concept: "designing richer days off for working people."
He doesn't have special talent, and he isn't in a special situation.
With limited time and money, he still heads to the mountains.
Yossy is the very symbol of that kind of "ordinary working adult."
```

01. Diving into the mountains without a clue

```
Yossy discovered snowboarding on an overnight trip with friends after finishing high school.
"I was asking other people on the slopes how to put my board on, and I was too scared to ride the lift, so I walked up (laughs)."
He was a complete beginner with no idea what he was doing.
But he'd skateboarded as a kid, and once he started riding, he could feel himself improving faster than others.
"This is for me."
From then on, every winter he naturally found himself heading to the mountains.
He says at first he didn't even know how to ride — he just let the speed carry him.
But he kept at it, and today he places in high ollie contests and takes on backcountry slopes.
About 15 years have turned him into the ultimate weekend snowboarder.
```

02. Snowboarding is why I work hard

```
For Yossy, snowboarding isn't just a hobby.
"Snowboarding is an expensive sport, so it's what motivates me to work hard."
In summer, he works for the winter.
In winter, he works so he can ride on weekends.
That cycle keeps his daily life moving in a positive direction.
Work lets him play. Play makes him work harder.
On the "work–play balance" so many working adults struggle with, he shows one answer through the way he lives every day.
```

03. Choosing to be a civil servant, and a new view of work

```
Yossy grew up in a single-mother household.
Thinking about his family's situation, he wanted a stable job, so after high school he set his sights on becoming a civil servant.
He went to a vocational school and passed the civil service exam in just six months.
When he first started, he was assigned to departments such as resident registration and taxation, where the work follows laws and set rules.
He later moved to a program department, where he now plans events to help extend residents' healthy life expectancy.
"It's really rewarding when my ideas take shape just as I imagined and people thank me for it."
Getting involved with Lehman Stick also changed how Yossy thinks about work.
From "working for the hours"
to "working for results."
Instead of just putting in the set hours, he started thinking about what results his work creates and who it delivers value to.
It's not a side hustle, and it's not starting a business.
Simply being involved with a brand changed how he approaches his main job.
That may be another part of what makes Lehmans powerful as a brand.
04. Five years of change with Lehman Stick
```

When Yossy first got involved with Lehman Stick, he was basically "helping out a friend."

But in the brand's third year, he was put in charge of the Lucky Bag campaign, and that changed his mindset completely.

"The moment I started thinking about how to make it fun for customers, it became completely my own thing."

From there, he got more and more involved with the brand, running social media and making Reels.

Not just during the season — even in the snowless off-season, Lehman Stick was always on his mind.

In its fourth and fifth years, the brand sold far more boards than before.

"Something I'd been part of was gradually reaching more and more people. That feeling made me really happy."

Not just a user.

Not just staff.

“A working guy who builds the brand together with us”

That's where Yossy stands today.

```
05. Making powder boards the norm
```

Powder boards are usually thought of as a "second board."

They only come out on powder days, which makes them a tough choice as your first board.

But Yossy wants to change that assumption.

"Just having one powder board opens up so many more ways to enjoy snowboarding."

At the same time, it's true that owning several boards costs money, and switching between them for different conditions isn't easy.

That's exactly why Lehman Stick delivers boards at accessible prices without compromising on performance.

The extraordinary, within reach.

We want powder to feel closer within your limited days off.

And we want people riding a powder board for the first time to discover a new way to have fun.

That idea is at the core of how Lehman Stick makes its boards.

06. A community like family

```
For Yossy, his snowboarding crew is a little different from ordinary friends.
"When the season starts, we just naturally gather in the mountains, and even if we haven't seen each other in a while, we start riding like always."
Even if they don't see each other much in the off-season, when the snow falls they naturally meet up in the same place.
Even after a long time apart, there's no awkwardness — they start riding as if they'd been together just yesterday.
It may be closer to family than friendship.
Lehman Stick is a brand that delivers boards, and at the same time a way for relationships like that to begin.
```

07. The future Yossy is aiming for

```
"I want to be the one who
connects working snowboarders."
You can only ride on your days off.
On weekdays there's work, and there's time with family too.
That's fine.
Because your time is limited, you make the most of every day.
And you connect with people who share the same values.
"You drive one or two hours each way to the slopes, ride, come home, and you're back at work the next day. I get that it feels like a big hurdle.
But once you go, it's always fun.
I'd be really happy if people who've drifted away from snowboarding came back to the slopes because of Lehman Stick."
Lehman Stick isn't just a snowboard brand.
Work on weekdays, play hard on your days off.
It's also a community that shares that way of living.
