  • (8) For other purposes incidental to the purposes above
3. Changes to the purposes of use
We may change the purposes of use of personal information within a scope reasonably considered to be related to the original purposes. If we do so, we will notify customers or make a public announcement.
4. Restrictions on use of personal information
Except as permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations, we will not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use without the customer's consent. However, this does not apply in the following cases:
  • (1) When required by laws and regulations
  • (2) When necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent
  • (3) When especially necessary to improve public health or promote the healthy development of children and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent
  • (4) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government agency, a local government, or a party entrusted by either of them in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the customer's consent is likely to interfere with the performance of those duties
5. Proper acquisition of personal information
We acquire personal information by proper means and will not acquire it through deception or other wrongful means.
6. Security management of personal information
To ensure the secure management of personal information against risks such as loss, destruction, alteration and leakage, we exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over our employees. When we outsource all or part of the handling of personal information, we exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the contractor to ensure the secure management of personal information.
7. Provision to third parties
Except where disclosure is permitted under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations, we will not provide personal information to third parties without the customer's prior consent. However, the following cases do not constitute provision to third parties as described above:

When a customer requests disclosure of their personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act, we will confirm that the request is made by the customer in person and disclose the information to the customer without delay (if the personal information does not exist, we will notify the customer accordingly). However, this does not apply where we are not obligated to disclose under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.
9. Correction of personal information
When a customer requests correction, addition or deletion ("correction") of their personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act on the grounds that it is inaccurate, we will confirm that the request is made by the customer in person, conduct the necessary investigation without delay within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use, correct the personal information based on the results, and notify the customer accordingly (if we decide not to make a correction, we will notify the customer of that decision). However, this does not apply where we are not obligated to make corrections under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.
10. Suspension of use of personal information
When a customer requests suspension of use or erasure ("suspension of use") of their personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purposes of use announced in advance, or that it was acquired through deception or other wrongful means, and the request is found to be justified, we will confirm that the request is made by the customer in person, suspend use of the personal information without delay, and notify the customer accordingly. However, this does not apply where we are not obligated to suspend use under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.
