About our free base wax service

1. What the service includes

We remove the shrink wrap (protective film) from your snowboard and apply hot wax to the base with an iron.

We do not scrape (remove the wax) or brush the base — the board ships with the wax still on.

This is to protect the base with wax and help prevent oxidation and drying out. We recommend removing the wax right before you ride.

2. Before you ride

This service does not include the final ride-ready finish.

Please scrape and brush the base yourself before riding.

If you ride without removing the wax, the board may not perform at its best.

3. Scope of the service

This service covers hot wax application only.

Edge tuning, base grinding, repairs, structuring and other tune-up work are not included.

LehmanStick's factory tune service is currently in preparation and is not part of this service.

4. Finish and packaging

Due to the nature of hot waxing, the base may show uneven wax thickness or white patches.

These are caused by how the wax sits on the base and do not necessarily indicate a product defect.

Also, because we remove the original shrink wrap (protective film) to apply the wax, your board will be delivered without its shrink wrap.

5. Shipping

If you request the wax service, your order may take longer to ship than usual.

6. Returns and exchanges

Because we remove the shrink wrap and apply the wax at your request, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for personal reasons after the wax has been applied.

Returns or exchanges for personal reasons, such as choosing the wrong size or model or the product not matching your expectations, are also not accepted.

However, in cases we are legally required to address, such as an initial defect or receiving an item different from what you ordered, we will handle it in accordance with our return and exchange policy and applicable law.

7. How to apply

This service is available only to customers who request it.

If you select "I agree to the terms and would like this service (free)" on the product page, we will take this as your request for the wax service, on the understanding that you have reviewed and accepted the service details on this page, the removal of the shrink wrap, the work required before riding, and the return and exchange conditions.
